Planning the Week..

We did our grocery shopping yesterday afternoon after I planned out the weekly menu:

I plan to do upper body work outs Tuesday and Thursday.  Walk 1 mile Wednesday and Friday.  The leg is still sore but I might try to run/walk that 1 mile…don’t tell my chiro!

Work will be hectic this week so I may have to get up and do my workouts in the morning as opposed to the evening – when I prefer to work out.  It’s really hard for me to get up early in the morning so this will be a challenge!  I’m open to a challenge!

Do you plan your weekly menu or just wing it?

Do you like to workout in the morning or afternoon?

Any exciting plans for the week?

I normally don’t plan a menu, because I hate cooking so much that I don’t like to think about it, but lately I’ve had a lot of new recipes that I want to try, so I’ve been planning more lately. I also only cook 3 days a week, so I don’t have to plan a ton of meals each week.

I am an evening runner. I am NOT a morning person!! Kinda wish I was just to get it over with though. I am one of the lucky ones and my husband does all the cooking (he works from home and feels sorry for me!!). I hope you start feeling better soon and get back to running. That has to be frustrating for you!

Looks like a good week of eats! I was pretty good this week…Thai on Sunday…made homemade panini’s yesterday…have BBQ pulled chicken in the crokpot for tonight…and have suff for homemade pizza for tomrrow. I am definitely a morning person and like to workout at that time but usually my work schedule forces me to do it later afternoon/early evening. Nothing too exciting this week…just getting my hair did tomorrow because I am looing like trash right now, lol! I hope work goes smoothly for you! 🙂

Looks like some great meals! I try to plan out meals as I’m shopping at the grocery store.
I love working out in the morning – its fits my schedule better!

We’ve started using our slow cooker again, and it has really made dinner easier! But no, not really a planner.

I prefer working out in the morning, but I almost NEVER actually do it. Trying to work out before work just makes the mornings feel so hectic. But I do love getting it out of the way (and the mornings are so nice and cool and fresh!).

  6. I have an idea in my head, but I rarely write out menus. But when I do, I’m always impressed by how much easier meals seem to go. You would think that would teach me something, but I just keep going in my aimless direction.:) If I don’t work out in the morning, it’s hard to make it happen. And I’m hoping to go on a date with the hubs this weekend. That’s exciting for us because we don’t do official dates that often!

  7. I have to force myself to meal plan but if I don’t then we end up eating out and I don’t like that very much. So exciting for a date with your hubby. K and I don’t get dates very often, either.
